The Federation of Businesswomen in the Netherlands (De Federatie Zakenvrouwen) has awarded the title of Female Entrepreneur of the Year 2008 to Joke van der Ven, director and owner of Letter on Demand (part of Ars Bene Laborandi BV).
Joke van der Ven won the prestigious annual award because of the ‘inspirational commitment’ with which she ensured recent growth of her company. Just four years into its existence, the organisation already has branches across the globe. She unreservedly includes her employees in this success.
For Joke van der Ven, giving sense and searching for meaning is an integral part of her life, as well as her way of doing business. The Female Entrepreneur of the Year award is presented to the businesswoman who has distinguished herself with excellence and originality, and successfully expanded her company with vision and tenacity.
By awarding the FZ Award to Joke van der Ven, the jury acknowledges her as a role model for female entrepreneurs in the Netherlands. An initiative of the Federation of Businesswomen in the Netherlands, this was the fourth time the award has been presented.
